Bin Drop-off FAQ’s

  • What items can I put in the bins? 

    We are currently seeking gently used clothing, housewares, and small electronics (working or not):

    TEXTILES/CLOTHING - Clothes,shoes, coats, bedding and linens, 


    OTHER  -  Re-usable items that are in good condition and working order, such as:

    Toys / Games / Books

    Small appliances / Electronics / Housewares

    Sporting goods

    Small furniture items (limited to items one person can carry).

  • Are your bins waterproof? 

    Although our bins are built solid, there's always a chance water can get through. Please ensure all donations are placed inside a standard 67 L plastic bag. 

  • Can I place e-waste in the bins?

    Discarding used, broken or worn-out electronics can be a hassle and we want to assist you in conveniently disposing of your e-waste, ensuring that they go to regulated recycling centers. We will pick up any amount and type of e-waste you wish to discard from the following list of acceptable items: 


    EWASTE - Display devices, drones, Home Audio or video systems, Desktop computers, Home Theatre In-a-Box systems, Cameras and Security Cameras, Vehicle Audio, Audio Systems, Portable computers, Personal/Portable Audio Systems, Musical Instruments and Recording Equipment, Floor Standing Printers and Printer Cartridges, Video Gaming Systems and Peripherals, Computer Peripherals (Routers, Cables, Charges, USB), IT & Telecom Equipment (Hard Drives, Servers, Microfilm Readers, Binding Machines, Postage Franking Machines, Check-Filler Machines), Desktop Printing, Multi-Function Devices, 3D Printers and Printer Cartridges, Phones (Telephone, Cellular, Smartphones, Devices , Pagers)

  • Do I have a limit on what I can donate?

    There is no limit on the amount of textile, housewares or ewaste you would like to donate. Every bag of clothing you donate to CP for CP contributes one pound at a time to our organization, to provide our members with funding for equipment and activities to enable them to live active and inclusive lives.


  • What if the bin is full or over flowing with donations?

    If you see a bin that needs servicing or is full, please help us out and let us know by calling 416-936-6000. We will get it serviced right away.

Household Pick-up FAQ’s

  • What items does CP for CP pickup? 

    We are currently seeking gently used clothing, housewares, and small electronics (working or not):

    TEXTILES/CLOTHING - Clothes,shoes, coats, bedding and linens, 


    OTHER - Re-usable items that are in good condition and working order, such as:

    Toys / Games / Books

    Small appliances / Electronics / Housewares

  • Do you pick-up on weekends?

    Pickups are scheduled only during weekdays. Feel free however to drop off any donations at your nearest donation box at any time or day.

  • What if I forgot my pick-up date?

    We all forget things from time to time...If you are unclear about your pick-up date, give us a call and we will be happy to refresh your memory. Keep in mind, that we will always call you a few days before your scheduled pick-up anyway, to confirm your pick-up day.

  • How do I reschedule my pick-up?

    Feel free to call us and we will coordinate a pick up from your home or business while we are along our routes. You are also welcome to use our donation bin location map to find a donation bin near you.

    Every bag of clothing or household items you donate to CP for CP contributes one pound at a time to our organization, to provide our members with funding for equipment and activities to enable them to live active and inclusive live.

    The funds generated through these programs are used to fund OFCP’s programs to support individuals with cerebral palsy and their families in Ontario.
