A Message to our Donors and to the General Public
Clothing Donation Bin Modification Update
Clothing Pick-Up for Cerebral Palsy (CP4CP) which operates clothing donation bins in Ontario, is deeply saddened by the recent deaths of individuals who attempted to access clothing donation bins owned by other charities in B.C. and Toronto.
As a charity representing individuals with cerebral palsy, we are acutely aware of the need for the safety of all individuals, including our members, donors and the general public.
We are working closely with our donation bin manufacturer and they have identified modifications to these bins. CP4CP has started retrofitting existing bins to ensure the safety of the public who may be misusing donation bins or attempting to gain entry.
Clothing donation bins are an integral part of our fundraising efforts which allows us to support individuals with cerebral palsy and their families. CP4CP relies on the generous donations of individuals who donate gently used clothing through our household pick up services and our clothing donation bins.
